Refund Policy

Overview

Each booking on CandidConversations is for a single 20-minute conversation between an aspirant and a verified IIT Insider. The session fee is ₹149. This policy explains when and how refunds are issued.

* Razorpay charges a payment gateway fee (~2%) on every transaction. When an Aspirant cancels 24+ hours in advance, this fee has already been charged by the payment gateway and cannot be recovered. When an Insider cancels, CandidConversations refunds the full ₹149 to the Aspirant and recovers the gateway fee from the Insider's earnings on the next weekly payout.

How to cancel

To cancel a booking, log in to your dashboard, find the upcoming session, and click “Cancel Session”. Cancellations are processed automatically if made more than 24 hours before the scheduled time.

If you are unable to cancel through the dashboard, email support@candidconversations.in with your booking reference before the 24-hour window.

How to raise a dispute

If the Insider did not show up, or if a verified technical issue prevented the session, you can raise a dispute from your dashboard or by visiting candidconversations.in/disputes/new. Include your booking reference and a brief description of what happened.

Disputes must be raised within 7 days of the scheduled session date. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Refund processing

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (UPI, card, or net banking) via Razorpay. Refunds typically appear within 5–7 business days, depending on your bank. We do not charge any processing fee on refunds.

Insider payouts and refunds

Insider payouts are processed after a session is confirmed complete. If a refund is issued before payout, the Insider receives nothing for that session. If a refund is issued after payout, CandidConversations covers the difference internally — Insiders are not asked to return money.
